Our purpose is to bring into focus bespoke collectibles that have been nurtured over the years and while selecting new items, we emphasize on thoughtful curation that honours traditional artistry.

All vintage and antique products displayed here, whether textiles, adornments or curios, are a part of Mahua Sarkar Sen’s personal collection. New textiles and curios have been sourced and curated, staying true to the most authentic versions possible. We neither claim to be revivalists nor do we own any looms or work closely with weaver clusters.

Our approach is rooted in purity, where we act as custodians.

Our new curios are crafted by artisans whom we plan to keep supporting with retainer fees, enabling them to create and customize our in-house designs. We prioritize upfront payment, rejecting the "sell first-pay later" model, and never acquire products on a consignment or bulk-order basis. We ensure fairness by compensating them fully before exhibiting their work.

At ‘Ononnyo’, we are committed to sustainability and heritage. We will continue to source and curate articles, that celebrate genuine handcrafted traditional techniques.
