Vintage Kotpad with Kalamkari

Authentically, Kotpads were made only with two colours: Deep Red/Maroon and Brown/Coca Cola colour, which were juxtaposed with Ecru (kora) shade of cotton, making their textiles vividly unique from product to product. This thick coarse heavy, original Kotpad with tiny woven butis on the body, has been handpainted (not dyed) in black with an elaborate handpainted Sri Kalahasti Kalamkari ‘Tree of Life’ motif on the long 2.5 mtr pallu. Organic dyes. Tear near the first tuck (upper border)  as shown in the pictures. Original blouse piece included.
