Revival Arakku and Aaranju real zari Korvai Kanjivaram

A Revival piece based on bridal Kanjivarams from 60s-70s. A striking thick Arakku and Aaranju base with real gold zari kattams and korvai borders. The sari creates an interesting effect with the grids alternating between solid colour base, stripes and woven muttu-kattams in shades of orange and red contrasting against the base grid colour, that gives the fabric a textured feel. The sari ends with a solid arakku petni pallu flaunting seepu-rekku (comb tooth) in real zari. A woven masterpiece and a heritage piece. Weight 750 gms.
